Transfer to IU Indianapolis from another IU campus
How to transfer from an IU campus
How you transfer to IU Indianapolis from another IU campus depends on your level of studies and how long you plan to take classes in Indy:
- Temporary intercampus transfer for undergraduate students: If you’re pursuing your degree at another IU campus but want to take a class or two at IU Indianapolis, you should apply for a temporary intercampus transfer. Since degree and enrollment requirements vary among IU campuses, be sure to talk with your home campus academic advisor if you want these courses to apply toward your degree.
- Permanent intercampus transfer for undergraduate students: If you’ve been attending another IU campus but now want to finish your degree at IU Indianapolis, you’ll need to apply to IU Indianapolis as a transfer student. This option is also known as a permanent intercampus transfer.
- Temporary intercampus transfer (ICT) for graduate students: If you’re an active graduate or professional student at another IU campus with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher (2.3 for law school) and you want to take a class or two at IU Indianapolis, please apply through IU Graduate CAS. If you’re an established ICT student on the IU Indy campus and you’ve taken a class here in the last 24 months you can simply fill out the ICT term activation form.
