Honors College application (optional)
All incoming freshmen who apply to the Honors College will be considered for both admission and four-year scholarship opportunities, and students may apply for one or more of our four competitive scholarship programs.
To be eligible to apply for admission and scholarships, you must have a minimum cumulative high school GPA of a 3.75 or higher.

Depending on your field of study, you may need to submit other test scores including those from the GRE, MCAT, LSAT, and more. You’re welcome to contact your academic program for more help during this process.
Apply for a veteran fee waiver
Veterans and military members are welcome to submit a veteran application fee waiver to apply to IU Indianapolis for free instead of paying the $65 application fee.
Provide an ECE report
Request a report from Educational Credentials Evaluators (ECE) stating your academic achievements converted from your home country to the United States. Any domestic student with international credentials needs an ECE report.

Prove your English proficiency by following the guidelines for international graduate students. If you already have an English placement test on file, this is one method of proof. Depending on your proof and scores, you may be required to take the English placement test during orientation.

Arrange your student visa
International students should arrange a student visa to study in the United States. IU Indianapolis will create an I-20 form for your F-1 visa.
