Launching IU Indianapolis!

Dear Faculty and Staff Colleagues,

Today is the day! The official launch of IU Indianapolis has arrived. This moment stirs so many emotions – gratitude, admiration, and incredible excitement as we welcome a new era of student success, scholarship, research, innovation, and partnership, all with the goal of educating the next generation of leaders who will build a stronger community.

It has taken meticulous planning and a can-do spirit to reach this day. Your dedication, professionalism, and thoughtfulness have kept student success center stage as we enter a historic new era on this campus. We want to thank you for all you have done to help begin this next momentous chapter.

To our outstanding faculty, your expertise and commitment have played a pivotal role in shaping our cutting-edge academic programs that will enrich our students’ experience and meet critical workforce needs.

To our dedicated staff, your hard work ensures that our university flourishes. Whether you are overseeing our facilities, managing data, providing administrative support, or working directly with students to meet their goals, you help us create the welcoming and inclusive campus environment so crucial to faculty and student success at IU Indianapolis.

The work you have been doing on campus extends to the broader community. We have linked arms with industry partners like Eli Lilly and Company, establishing new, dynamic co-op programs that will improve our students’ job prospects after graduation. We are strengthening our research enterprise, which has long been known for its community focus, by building the IU Indianapolis Science and Technology Corridor, including our two new research institutes: the Convergent Bioscience and Technology Institute and the Institute for Human Health and Wellbeing. Of course, this is in addition to the impressive work being done in the arts and humanities through the Herron School of Art and Design, the Arts and Humanities Institute, and the Center for the Study of Religion and American Culture, among others.

These marks of progress—including our new Athletics Center and our new research facility—will nurture the innovation and discovery that will drive IU Indianapolis toward an incredibly bright future.
