Share your test scores

You’re more than your scores. That’s why IU Indianapolis is test optional for admissions and scholarships.

What does “test optional” mean?

Test optional means that it's up to you to send us your test scores. You will be fully considered for admission and scholarships either way. Though strong scores may strengthen your application, you will not be penalized for not providing them.

Use the following codes to send your scores directly to IU Indianapolis from the testing agency. This is the only way Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate, and Cambridge scores will be accepted.

School codes

SAT code for IU Indianapolis: 1325
ACT code for IU Indianapolis: 1214

Self-reporting scores

You can also choose to apply with self-reported SAT or ACT scores. This is optional and will not impact your admission decision. If you choose to send scores, please send official scores to us after you are admitted and before you register for your summer orientation session. We recommend submitting official scores when you pay your deposit.
