Indiana Partners tuition reduces out-of-state costs
57%Average tuition savings for students in Indiana Partner states
What is Indiana Partners tuition?
Indiana Partners is a tuition rate for IU Indianapolis students enrolling from select states and meeting additional criteria, such as a minimum GPA or enrolling in a specific program. This rate is substantially lower than our standard tuition rate for out-of-state students.
One program for this award is the Midwest Student Exchange Program (MSEP). MSEP is a multi-state tuition reciprocity program established by the Midwestern Higher Education Compact, which IU Indianapolis participates in. Undergraduate applicants who are residents of select Midwest states who have a minimum GPA of 2.75 or higher will automatically pay tuition at our Indiana Partner rate, representing a reduction of more than 55% in out-of-state tuition at IU Indianapolis.
Additionally, undergraduate applicants who are residents of Illinois, Kentucky, Michigan, or Puerto Rico who have a minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher will also be classified as Indiana Partners for tuition purposes.
Graduate school applicants for select programs will also receive Indiana Partners tuition, as will applicants enrolling as international students on select visa types.
Participating MSEP states:
Kansas | Minnesota | Missouri | Nebraska | North Dakota | Ohio | Wisconsin
Other Indiana Partner states:
Illinois | Kentucky | Michigan | Puerto Rico
