Melissa Miller

Melissa is a former high school teacher with a bachelor’s degree in English and Secondary Education and a Master’s in Education in School Counseling.

After living overseas for more than 10 years, Melissa returned to Indianapolis and spent 4 years advising students at Ivy Tech Community College. Her primary focus was students planning to transfer. She moved over to IU Indianapolis and worked with the Passport Program in 2019. In 2024 she moved into the IU Indianapolis Undergraduate Admissions Office and is now a Senior Admissions Counselor for Transfer Recruitment.

Having spent nearly 10 years working with Ivy Tech Community College students to assist them with their transfer goals, Melissa has a lot of experience with how transfer from Ivy Tech to IU Indianapolis works.

Melissa is the mother of twins who are both in college, so she likes to visit them when time allows. Outside of work, you can probably find her out and about with her 4-year-old labrador retriever mix enjoying the outdoors.
