About

Kenneth is a dedicated professional with five years of experience in higher education, specializing in college counseling. They have a strong background in transfer initiatives and have recently joined Indiana University Indianapolis as the Senior Admissions Counselor for the Chicago regional area. Kenneth is known for their commitment to supporting students in their educational journey and is passionate about creating opportunities for academic advancement.

A first-generation college student, Kenneth is originally from Little Rock, Arkansas. In 2017, they moved to Chicago to pursue their MFA in Photography, which they earned in 2019. One of their favorite college memories was getting free admission into a local art museum with their colleagues.

Kenneth's favorite place on IU Indy's campus is Eskenazi Hall, which houses the Herron School of Art & Design.

"The Herron School of Art & Design is a treasure for artists looking to hone their craft while exploring their creativity," Guthrie said. "Students are learning how to engage their viewers while also securing collaborations with businesses, non-profits, institutions, and more across the city of Indianapolis as well as the state. Not to mention the facilities are state of the art; there's a place for every creative here."

When Kenneth isn't connecting with students, you can find them biking outdoors, playing with their cats, or gaming at home on a Friday night.
